Based on the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) EV-first platform, the CLA EV replaces the combustion-powered A Class sedan, plus the EQA and EQB electric SUVs in India. The Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric is priced from ₹55.00 lakh to ₹59.00 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is offered in two variants: the CLA 200 Standard Range and the CLA 250+ Long Range. It is produced at the German brand’s Rastatt facility and will come to India as a full import. The CLA EV uses an 800V electrical architecture and rear-wheel-drive layout. The CLA 200 gets a 58kWh battery pack and offers a lower range of 542km, aimed at a more accessible price point. The higher-spec CLA 250+ gets an 85.5kWh battery and a rear-mounted motor producing 272hp, with a claimed WLTP range of up to 792km. Both variants support high-speed DC charging. A limited-run Launch Edition of the CLA EV is also being offered, which gets a triple-screen setup on the dashboard, matte black exterior hue, redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels, illuminated door sills, distinct ambient lighting, keyless go function and edition-specific badges inside.
